In the Murray league, Moama’s senior football side is all but certain to miss out on post-season action after a 2.2 (14) to 20.12 (132) loss to Cobram.
The Magpies fared much better in the A-grade netball clash, winning 41-19.
Meanwhile, Tongala also split its Murray league match-ups against Mulwala.
The Blues went down 10.13 (73) to 14.9 (93) in football, but secured a huge netball win over the second-placed Lions, winning 59-55.
Other Murray league outfit Echuca United also had a mixed day at the office, taking on Finley.
The Eagles lost football 12.14 (86) to 6.4 (40), but won netball 58-34, putting an end to a run of four straight defeats.
In Heathcote District Football Netball League, Lockington-Bamawm United and Leitchville-Gunbower closed out their regular seasons.
The two clubs were playing off for the last finals spot in football, which the Cats claimed via a 20.10 (130) to 7.7 (49) win over Elmore.
Leitchville also won, defeating White Hills 21.8 (134) to 12.9 (81), but the Bombers’ percentage fell a miniscule 0.21 below Lockington’s in the final wash up.
Both clubs were already eliminated from the post-season reckoning in netball and weren’t able to finish their seasons strongly.
The Cats lost 55-43 to the Bloods, while the Demons narrowly defeated Leitchville 44-41.
Picola District Football Netball League also concluded its regular season and Picola United finished with a wet sail by winning both match-ups against Katunga.
The Blues confirmed a finals spot in netball with a 44-20 win over the Swans, while also winning football 15.10 (100) to 11.13 (79).
Mathoura didn’t find the same success against Berrigan in its final fixtures, losing football 3.2 (20) to 31.31 (217) and netball 37-30.
