The Tigers seized the initiative from the start at Rochester Recreation Reserve, scoring the first eight goals of the match, which resulted in a 21-6 lead at the first interval.
Kyabram had its best attacking stint in the second period, scoring nine times, but it couldn’t stop Rochy at the other end, which added 21 again to take a comfortable 42-15 advantage into half-time.
Playing mainly for pride in the second half as another defeat beckoned, the Bombers were reasonably competitive to start the third period, netting six of the first 15 goals.
Rochester finished the quarter stronger by scoring nine of the last 10 goals, leading 60-22 entering the fourth.
The Tigers then netted 15 of the first 16 in the final period, eventually running out as 83-29 winners.
The 29 goals Emma Quinn’s side scored was its equal-highest tally of the season, as it demonstrated an attacking improvement that was led by Jazmin Clark’s 20 goals.
Clark’s tally was also the most a Kyabram player has scored in a match so far in 2026.
The club named goalkeeper Maggie Guinan as best-on via its Facebook page, while the Bombers also handed out another A-grade debut, this time for centre Mia Stockdale.
Kyabram is back at home for its next fixture on Saturday, July 18, playing Tatura.
