Six months on from its memorable opening, the Pyramid Hill Community Centre has gone from strength to strength.

Opened in April, the $3.27 million facility was made possible via funding from the Victorian Government’s Regional Infrastructure Fund, Loddon Shire Council, and Northern District Community Health.
Since then, the centre has gradually seen an increase in use, with community health at the forefront.
NDCH offers a range of allied health and wellbeing programs at the site, alongside the council’s maternal and child health service, which includes immunisation services.
New, purpose-built consulting rooms have been introduced, which promise a modern and accessible space for care.
Bella Ladson said she appreciated being able to access the service for her five-month-old daughter, Willa, so close to home.

“We are on a farm about seven minutes away, and being able to come somewhere close by and in such a beautiful building, we feel very lucky,” she said.
“And we love Marg (Maternal Child Health and Immunisation Team leader Marg Gallagher), she’s great.”
Another of the regular community users of the new facility are the Pyramid Hill Senior Citizens Club.
The club was re-established in September last year following a hiatus, and has built up its membership since then to nearly 40 members.

Until the site was completed, the club was relegated to meeting at temporary venues, but now meets every Friday at the centre.
Loddon Shire Council Mayor Dan Straub said he had received great feedback from the community about the new centre.
“The community centre is a welcoming place designed for all, from our youngest residents to senior citizens, and this is certainly proving to be the case,” he said.
“I am proud we have delivered a beautiful facility that creates an inclusive space for the residents of Pyramid Hill, and the broader community, to enjoy.”
