The GMC never looked likely in the clash at Windridge Oval on Monday, with the team unable to make the most of winning the toss and batting first.
Almost immediately, things looked bad for the side, with no member of the top four able to put a double figure score on the board.
Matt Hinks, batting at five, would be the top scorer for the top order with 21, only to be topped by number 10 Will Devlin with 27.
Only three of the team were able to make it into double figures as the GMC were skittled for 101 in 41 overs.
Ashley Quinn took three wickets for the MVCA.
With opener Wian Van Zyl scoring 71 for the MVCA, the GMC was out of the game already.
When Van Zyl was dismissed, the score was 2/135.
GMC had lost, and would have to keep bowling while the MVCA racked up the points.
It was a horrid day for the bowlers, with nine of the team’s 11 players used in the GMC attack before the innings came to an end on 227.
Jack Russell was best with the ball, taking 3/44.
At publication deadline, the GMC was facing Castlemaine & District Cricket Association.
