Reid participated in the Vic Country Championships at the Latrobe University Bendigo Athletics Centre, running in the 5000m in the under 20 category.

Reid destroyed all 18 competitors on the track, including those in the open category, completing the race in 15:10, beating all his competitors by a minimum of 19 seconds.

More impressively, Reid took 26 seconds off his own center record time for the event.

Reid is currently in Kenya for high altitude training to further improve on his skill as he looks to more racing this year.
