Mr Maddison spoke with EFC president Justin Hatfield who thanked him for Simplot’s recent sponsorship of the junior club, explaining the funds would go towards new football jumpers for its under-10s kids.
EFC had six teams last year and is expecting similar numbers for the 2022 season.
Simplot has recently implemented its Community Sponsorship Engagement Program, which focuses on bringing its purpose, “we contribute to feeding our world” to life.
Simplot aims to make positive contributions to causes that are important to its employees and that will directly support local organisations in the communities where it operates.
“The contributions being made through our community sponsorships are going towards organisations that address food security, initiatives that promote health and well-being, and programs that address sustainability,” Mr Maddison said.
“Across our Australian operations, we are very proud to be supporting over 30 wonderful community organisations in total, such as Echuca Neighbourhood House, which provides food relief for the community — caring for our communities is what it is all about. And of course, we are delighted to be supporting the Echuca Junior Football Club this year.”
Simplot is a leading agricultural and manufacturing company, with brands such as Leggo’s, Edgell and Birds Eye, and proudly supports local communities where it operates.
Echuca Junior Football Club said it was looking forward to an exciting season ahead in its new jumpers.
